The Challenge
A large, global non-alcoholic beverage manufacturer was under pressure to continue to provide everyday affordability for its consumers. They wanted a better understanding on the impact of price increases on key items, the impact of each promotional activity, and how to enhance these by country across Europe. They also needed a way to continuously monitor their price and promotion performance going forward.

Insight
Circana’s Price and Trade Advantage™ solution modeled price and promotion performance and simulated potential price and promotion scenarios. Circana then recommended a revised plan that was tailored to each country.
The Results
By implementing Circana’s recommendations, the client gained 100K liters in one country (2€ ROI versus 0.77€) from a promotion mechanics change. It also stopped a loss of approximately 100K liters in another country by adjusting prices. The client continues to use Circana’s Price and Trade Advantage solution on a quarterly basis to track and simulate performance using their own business constraints by country.
